Las Vegas is one of the world's leading tourist destinations, stimulating about 50 million annual trips between Los Angeles and Las Vegas and more than 85% of them by car. The 218-mile, all-electric Brightline West system will provide a fast, zero-emission alternative to the extremely congested I-5 corridor connecting Las Vegas and Southern California.
The high-speed train will reach speeds of 200 mph and complete the one-way trip in 2 hours and 10 minutes, compared to over 4 hours by car.
Once operational, Brightline West will replace millions of car trips and reduce carbon emissions by more than 325,000 tons annually.

The rail line runs from the Las Vegas station and ends at the station in Rancho Cucamonga, where it connects with L.A. Metrolink to Union Station. There is a station planned for Victor Valley/Apple Valley, which connects with the High Desert Corridor and is the link to California High-Speed Rail in Palmdale. A station is also planned in Hesperia.
