In Spain, Renfe is a central actor in the national transport system, where it runs more than 5,000 trains every day, carrying more than 510 million yearly passengers. The company has been operating high-speed trains for almost 30 years in Spain, which is the second country in terms of high-speed lines in the world, with more than 1,800 miles in service. Renfe has been selected as the Early Operator of the high-speed project between Dallas and Houston developed by Texas Central.
