21st Century Transportation for America

USHSR is proud to offer a selection of rail tours as part of the National High Speed Rail Leadership Summit in cooperation with the Mineta Transportation Institute.

All tours take place Thursday September 13. Tours 1 & 2 operate approximately between 9am - 3pm, and Tour 3 (CA HSR Construction tour) operates from 9am to 5pm.

Tours are available on a first-come basis, and space is limited.

TOUR 1 - Salesforce (Transbay) Transit Center & Caltrain Electrification

Tour the west coast's brand new mega rail station - Salesforce Transit Center (formerly Transbay) in downtown San Francisco. This spectacular new $2.26 Billion "Grand Central Station of the West" just opened to the public after 10 years of planning and construction, and will house rail lines, bus lines, streetcars and more!

On the way to Salesforce Transit Center the tour will stop off at the Caltrains electrification project now underway along the corridor by USHSR member Balfour Beatty. This electrification project will modernize the entire corridor, offering cleaner, quieter, and faster trains, while also setting up the corridor for high speed trains to share on their way into downtown San Francisco.

TOUR 2 - New BART Stations Tour, Santa Clara County

This tour is closed. Please select another tour.

TOUR 3 - California High Speed Rail Construction

Get a first hand view of America's first high speed rail system currently under construction in the Central Valley between San Jose and Los Angeles. California's 800-mile, state-of-the-art high speed rail project will quickly advance America from last place in the world to having the most advanced technology and the fastest trains.

See the first phase of more than 119 miles currently in heavy civil construction, with multiple different construction sites and a variety of structures and major civil works the entire stretch.

Be part of the Great American Rail Renaissance!
